For his Eagle Scout Project, Seth Rowell led Troop 218 in building a brand-new outdoor schoolhouse for Ride to Fly, a local nonprofit that provides therapeutic horseback riding for children with special needs.

The project brought our troop together with a shared goal — creating a functional, inviting space where kids can learn and connect. Over several weekends, scouts and parents worked side by side: standing posts, attaching hardware, installing ceiling joists, and finishing it off with paint to make it look rad.

Kirk Attoian, a member of Ride to Fly’s Board of Directors, shared his appreciation:

“The kids will be so excited to have the new room. You really did a great job planning, leading, and following through. You might not realize it now but those are the skills that differentiate the successful people from the others. Please thank all the dads and the other scouts for all their hard work.”

This project showcased true teamwork, leadership, and community service — the heart of what Scouting is all about. Congratulations to Seth and everyone who helped make this vision a reality!
