Two days on the road. A night under the stars in Utah. And then… Colorado.

Troop 218 didn’t just go to summer camp. We went looking for adventure—and we found it everywhere.

We shot, rode ATVs, rappelled cliffs, threw axes, rode horses, explored the wilderness, and generally adventured our butts off.

Then we took it to the river. The entire troop river rafting together—laughing, yelling, paddling, getting soaked, and having the kind of day these boys will be talking about for years.

And because apparently regular camp food wasn’t adventurous enough, we brought in a private Michelin-starred chef to teach us how to cook incredible food in the wilderness. Yes… Troop 218 backcountry cuisine is officially a thing.

But the best part wasn’t the guns, the ATVs, the cliffs, the river, or the horses.

It was watching these young men become a team.

They challenged themselves. They looked out for each other. They stepped up. They laughed hard. They got tired. They pushed through. And they created memories that only happen when you put a great group of young men together, take them somewhere wild, and let them go.

At closing flags, 218 brought the kind of focus and respect that made an impression. One of the other troops summed it up perfectly:

“It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll.”

Yep.

218 should be proud.

Proud of the miles traveled. Proud of the adventures. Proud of the leadership. Proud of the brotherhood. Most of all, proud of the young men who showed up ready to experience something bigger than themselves.

This is what Troop 218 is about.

Adventure. Leadership. Brotherhood. Service. And becoming the kind of young man who can be counted on.
